Was Roy Long Named In SBC List of Abusers?
Roy Long, a former deacon at the First Baptist Church of Hesperia in Victorville, CA, was arrested in 1996 on two felony counts of continuous sexual abuse of two girls beginning at the age of seven. In 2008, he pleaded guilty to unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor under the age of 18 and was also convicted of molesting a child under the age of 18 with a prior conviction.
He was sentenced to 85 days in prison and 48 months on probation. Long passed away in 2013.
